Challenges presented in constructing the world’s largest LNG storage tank

Since Tokyo Gas constructed its first 10,000 cubic metres capacity in-ground LNG tank, we have developed our technologies to maximize the capacity of the tanks. As a result, in 1995, we completed what is still today the world’s largest tank at 200,000 cubic metres capacity.
